Since a week ago, the little ones have been allowed to go out for an hour a day. But, are we doing these outings right? From Ziving Tomas Sastre we want to advise you on the most important measures:<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Masks<\/h4>\n
    \n
  • Children under 3 years of age:<\/strong>not recommended.<\/li>\n
  • Over 3 years of age:<\/strong>not mandatory. They can be useful if they fit well and the child feels “comfortable” with them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    2. Toys<\/h4>\n
      \n
    • Skates\/bikes: <\/strong> To be assessed individually. If the child has not yet mastered them, it may not be the best time because of the risk of an accident. And in any case, almost all of them have been “untrained” for some time.<\/li>\n
    • Ball:<\/strong>Assess whether it is necessary. If some safe open space is available (easier in small towns\/towns) the child could play with their caregiver or siblings but not with other children because physical distance cannot be guaranteed.<\/li>\n
    • How to wash them on return? They can be left “in quarantine” until the next departure.<\/strong>. If they are washed, best with soap and water or disinfectant products, not with wipes. Dry with cellulose paper, not with rags. Wheels and pedals: better not to touch.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      3. Body hygiene<\/h4>\n
        \n
      • Hand washing:<\/strong>Thorough hand washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds (or singing happy birthday twice) both before going out and coming home is essential.<\/li>\n
      • Nails: <\/strong>It is a good time to check your nails and go out with them trimmed.<\/li>\n
      • Hydroalcoholic gels: <\/strong>Can be used from two years of age with<\/strong>caution to avoid ingestion. It is neither necessary nor convenient to apply them continuously. Ideally, children should be prevented from touching doorknobs, handrails, etc.<\/li>\n
      • Shower on return: <\/strong>Not essential if the physical distance has been maintained and the child has not bounced on the floor. But if you have a daily bath, it is a good idea to schedule it for the return trip.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        4. Clothing<\/h4>\n
          \n
        • Clothes:<\/strong>Washing in the washing machine is always a good option but, if you have not been at risk, clothes can also be stored in a bag and left “in quarantine” for a couple of days.<\/li>\n
        • Shoes: <\/strong>Especially if there are babies in the house or children play on the floor, it is advisable to leave them in a reserved place in the entrance until the next departure.
