Letting them brush is the first step, but HOW we do it is just as important!<\/p>\n
Many parents brush by “rubbing” from side to side (like a handsaw), and this can be ineffective on the little ones.<\/p>\n
The right technique (for them and for us):<\/strong><\/p>\n \ud83d\udd39 Circular movements:<\/strong> Place the brush at the gum line (slightly tilted) and make small, gentle circles, “sweeping” the dirt from the gum outwards.<\/p>\n \ud83d\udd39 Go in order:<\/strong> Start with the molars on one side, go to the outside of all the teeth, then the inside, and finally the “roads” (the tops of the molars)!<\/p>\n \ud83d\udd39 Tongue too:<\/strong> Gently run the brush over the tongue to remove bacteria.<\/p>\n \ud83d\udd39 No force:<\/strong> Don’t squeeze.
