Mom, this is one of the most dangerous phrases for your child’s dental health – baby teeth DO matter! They matter a lot.
Why are they so crucial?
🦷 They guard the space: They are the guardians of the site where the permanent teeth will erupt. If they are lost prematurely, the other teeth move and the permanent may erupt crookedly or not at all.
🦷 They prevent infection: A cavity in a baby tooth can become infected and that infection can damage the permanent tooth that is forming just below, in the gum.
🦷 Function: They allow your little one to chew well, speak correctly and have a good self-esteem with their smile.
So, take care of those baby teeth like the treasure they are!
