That stage in which they drool non-stop, everything goes in their mouths and they are more irritable… teething!
What DOES help?
✅ Cold: A silicone teether cooled in the refrigerator (NEVER in the freezer, it can burn!).
✅ Massage: Wash your hands thoroughly and gently massage your gum with your clean finger (or a silicone thimble).
✅ Patience and cuddles: Sometimes they just need more comfort and arms.
✅ Fresh food: If already eating solids, pieces of fresh fruit (such as melon or watermelon from the refrigerator) may help.
What is NOT recommended?
❌ Amber collars: The Spanish Association of Pediatrics warns of the risk of choking and strangulation. There is no scientific evidence that they work.
❌ Gum gels with benzocaine: Banned in many countries for infants due to serious risks.
❌ “Scratching” the gum with hard food: Do not rub with hard bread or other foods that can hurt.
Lots of patience, Mom! This stage will pass too. What was your best teething trick?
